Vintage Leaves with Lovely as a Tree Stamps

I thought I would try something different with the diecut leaves  by stamping an image on them, embossing in black and sponging some sunset colours behind the trees.

NEW Get Well Soup stamp & Paper piecing Technique

I made this card using the paper piecing technique.
To do this you stamp once on background and then stamp the cup onto patterned paper and just cut out the cup and the space where the soup is and then adhere on top of background image The patterned paper is called Bohemian Designer series paper. I also coloured the soup in with a coloured marker for chicken soup.

Sneak Peak new Tree Builder Punch 3 ways to use it

Here's a sneak peak at one of the new products coming on the 2nd June 2015 in the new catalogue. It's called the Tree Builder punch 138295 and I had a play with it today to see what I could do with it. I think it will be really handy for making some cute cards, I also used some sentiments from Crazy about you bundle which will be continuing in the new catalogue. This is a really cool stamp set with heaps of handy sentiments for cards.
Here's an idea I came up with using the tree branch as coral for an underwater scene. The tree leaves for my jellyfish this piece also makes good clouds and I made some schools of fish with the little teardrop shape. The stars are from the Confetti star border punch
The tree branch also makes excellent antlers for this punch art reindeer so you could also use the Tree builder Punch for your Holiday cards too later in the year. Happy punching everyone I hope you are looking forward to the new Stampin' Up! catalogue as I am. It goes live on 2nd June and you can see it online here. There's still a chance to order some retiring items from the current catalogue while stocks last.

Bokeh background technique

This technique is easy and fun to do.
Sponge two or three colours of ink onto whisper white cardstock randomly covering all the white space.
Then make a circle template with window sheets cutting out a few different size circles out of it with circle dies or punches. Next step is using whisper white craft ink sponge circles over the top using your stencil with a few overlapping and going off the edge of cardstock too until you a happy with the result. Whisper white takes a while to dry so give it time to dry or use a heat gun tool to speed up the process and then stamp over the top wth momento black ink. Try a few different colour combos. e I used Hello Honey, Bermuda bay and Wild Wasabi.

Yummy New Butterfly thinlit dies from the Occasions Catalogue.

I'm loving these new butterfly thinlit dies from the new occasions catalogue (page 26) and the gorgeous papers painted blooms(middle card) they are so pretty and I'm finding the cute Bow builder punch(page 13) so useful for card making. For the backgrounds I used the stamp set Gorgeous Grunge and Kinda Eclectic. Sale-a-bration ends at the end of March so make sure you don't miss out on the freebies with every $90 order this month. Online ordering is available here at my online store.
